Raw Recipe: Fruit and Hemp Seed Muesli

This recipe is gluten free, animal free, dairy free, oil free, nutrient dense, and plant strong. (see previously posted Day 8 – Whole Foods Health Starts Here Class)

Hemp is not just your run of the mill burnout friend’s go-to hippie choice for everything from smoke to sandals. Did you know that Hemp seeds have all the essential amino acids (those important protein related things that most people think they can only get from meat that help our body in almost every function)? Did you know they have all the essential fatty acids, omega 3 and omega 6? Hemp is the only animal free source that provides these complete nutrients, making it perfect for EVERYONE.


2 cups of quick-cooking oats
3/4 cup shelled hemp seeds
3/4 cup raisins
1/2 cup dried goji berries, coarsely chopped
1/4 cup of chopped pitted dates
1/4 cup of raw green pumpkin seeds
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground ginger

Combine all ingredients.

Serve as a topping. For example, serve on yogurt (see previously posted Raw Recipe: Young Thai Coconut Yogurt). Serve as a cold cereal. Serve as a hot oatmeal by adding and heating a 1:1 ratio of muesli to water or soymilk/hempmilk/almond milk.
